I have been looking through my images recently thinking "What is the best shot I have taken this year?" and I plan on doing a Best Of post soon however Borrowed Lenses www.borrowedlenses.com has asked the question so this is my response. :)
My favourite shot of this year, and believe me it was VERY hard to choose, is one of Murphy, a chocolate lab I met with his parents Alicia and Jason during a photoshoot near the end of 2012. (a blog with be done about that session in it's entirety later on) Murphy was hamming it up for the camera the moment I pointed it at his face which resulted in some amazing shots of this pup's true personality. This photo in particular, Jason helped to create and was actually the third exposure in a continous shoot. In the beginning Murphy was looking at Jason, wondering when he could have his cookie, but then he turned nothing but his eyes directly at me, in complete understanding that this is what he needed to do to get that cookie. lol
This photo is exactly why I love photographing dogs. Their expressions are so true, so raw, and there are alot of people in this world who don't believe me when I say that.
(this photo is taken from my FB page so it's not the original quality)
