A Girl and Her Dog

It was a few years after our beloved dog Bear passed over the rainbow bridge that my mom decided to get another dog. The product of a champion black lab and a cute farm raised pure bread chocolate lab, Bentley was one of (I think) 7 chubby little black munchkins. (Don't quote me on that number though lol)  The weekend that my mom brought him home she was leaving for the weekend and since my husband and I were staying with my parents (that's a whole other story) we along with my dad, made sure this sleepy pup got everything he needed while she was gone.

Wait I should probably take a moment to make introductions! Everyone this is my mom, Barb, and her dog, Bentley. Mom, this is everyone! ;)  I had taken random photos of Bentley over the years but we had never sat down and actually attempted proper photos until this year. Shame on the daughter photographer!

My mom and Bentley are completely inseparable.  2 peas in the proverbial pod if you will.  The neighborhood knows that where Bentley is, my mom is not too far behind.  In fact they refer to her as "Bentley's mom" in our dog community.

I asked mom and Bentley to meet me in Little Mountain Park which is dog friendly so we could roam free of collars and leashes and just have some fun. With so many things to smell and explore, Bentley wasn't too interested in taking pictures. Nothing a stick and some treats couldn't fix though!

I am so happy we got the time to update another year on mom's photo wall.  Until next year!
