Thomas & Becky ~ Married Part 1

"I knew I loved him immediately. Weird, but I did."

 

That was the first thing Becky said to me when I asked her to tell me her and Thomas's story.  They met at a local bar called The Toad In The Hole which, as Becky said, was unusual for both of them to even be there in the first place.

 

"I had a friend in from out of town who had just broken up with someone and Tom had just broken up with someone so his friends took him out. His friend and my friend were flirting so he came over and asked if he could sit down."

 

 

In a small multipurpose book store meets coffee shop, meets jam night venue, they decided to make it official after 4 years, 4 kids, and one dog rescue.

 

"Tom disliked dogs and was allergic to them. We didn't think we could stay together because of it"

 

 

 

 

"Tom helped me build Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue and gave me courage when I wanted to give up. "

 

Together Tom and Becky, along with their growing little family, have formed one of the biggest animals rescues in Winnipeg.  They have sacrificed much and I am, and always will be, so honored to have been a part of their union.
